Upgrade of security at Police Training Academy
Recently Total Support Services were chosen to upgrade the perimeter security at the Police Training Academy, Hendon.
Total Support Services (TSS) won the contract to undertake this prestigious re-development due to a number of factors; the high requirements of the products requested called for a company that could not only meet the specifications but exceed them. TSS supply and install products of a high standard; reliability and security are paramount with long warranty periods on all equipment. TSS offer guarantees of an unrivalled level of protection and reliability.
Work started at the beginning of April to remove existing equipment and install the new. Proven by many Police Stations across London, TSS’s Bi-Fold gates, renowned for their speed and high security protection were again specified for this application. These were installed in an airlock formations providing high level of controlled security to entrances and exits.DHS High security barriers with full lattices were combined with CRK crash rated road blockers, fitted with emergency high speed raise system. Safety was enhanced by the addition of traffic lights and roadway induction loops.
Pedestrian access was controlled throughout, with various PFH motorised full height turnstiles and motorised pedestrian gates, each with individual access control systems.
The total project was completed within the time period specified and within the quoted budget.
